Joint degree program in Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering

This course was an undergraduate cooperative program that started in 2003 and the final intake was in 2007.
Under this program, students enrolled at Kish for the first four (4) semesters (Levels 1 and 2) of the Monash Bachelor of Engineering (BE) program in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering which have been taught by Kish under license with certain services provided by Monash. All examinations for the credit subjects in the program (Levels 1 & 2) were set in English and marked at Monash.
On successful completion of these studies at Kish University (SUTIC), students permitted by Monash University to begin Level 3 studies in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering in Melbourne subject to the students having met migration and visa requirements to permit study in Australia.

Students successfully completing a further four (4) semesters at Monash (Levels 3 and 4) were eligible to graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in the field of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering from Monash University, and were eligible for an Honors degree if they have achieved a sufficient standard in accordance with Monash requirements. The BE degree awarded by Monash University.

Students in all cases required to maintain satisfactory levels of academic performance and progress in their studies as per both the Kish and Monash academic progress requirements, and were subject to all relevant Monash statutes, regulations and policies both while at Kish and at Monash Australia.

Academic Entrance Requirements

The entrance requirement to the program at Kish was an average of 75% or more in the Iranian pre-university course, including a pass in English and a grade of not less than 60% in Mathematics and at least one of Chemistry or Physics, together with the English language requirement set out below. The equivalent of these entrance requirements was accepted for countries neighboring Iran in the Persian Gulf Region.

English Language Requirement

The language of instruction in the program both at Kish and Monash was English and students admitted to the program at Kish must provide certification that they have satisfied the Monash English Language Requirements. Monash required a minimum IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) score of 6.0, with no band lower than 6.0.

Applicants interested in participating in the Bachelor of Engineering program and who had an IELTS score of 5.5 could attend to Kish Language Learning Center.
